DFG Priority Programs
National collaboration for the expansion of interdisciplinary and networking are as a rule funded for six years in the context of the grant instruments available to the DFG.
The objective of the coordinated support given to the research and development in a selected field of activity is to produce a particular scientific value. Interested researchers can submit applications to the DFG at specified times. The decision as to what projects will be supported as a DFG priority program is made by the DFG Senate after an unbiased appraisal of all applications.
The ongoing DFG priority programs coordinated at TU Kaiserslautern are listed below. Beyond this, researchers at the TU are participating in the projects of several additional priority programs.
Ongoing DFG priority program:
- SPP 1391 "Ultrafast Nanooptics" (since 2009)
- SPP 1489 "Algorithmic and Experimental Methods in Algebra, Geometry and Number Theory" (since 2010)
- SPP 1337 "Aktive Mikrooptik (since 2008, cooperation)
- SPP 1538 "Spin Caloric Transport (SpinCaT)" (since 2011, cooperation)
