Research Training Groups
DFG research training groups offer young research graduates the chance to earn a doctorate in the context of a coordinated research program with an interdisciplinary orientation.
Such a Ph. D. program contributes to the transfer of knowledge by the candidates and encourages cooperation. International graduate schools offer an opportunity for doctoral candidates a dual education at universities in Germany and abroad.
Current DFG research training groups:
- GRK 814 "Engineering materials on a different scale: Experiment, Modeling and Simulation" (since 2002)
- GRK 845 "Molecular, physiological, and pharmacological analysis of cellular membrane transport" (since 2003)
- GRK 1131 (int. Research Training Group) "Visualization of large and unstructured data volumes" (since 2005)
- GRK 1830 (int. Research Training Group) "Complex Membrane Proteins in Cellular Development and Disease" (since 2012)
- Ph.D. program in Information Technology (since 2003)
