Fraunhofer Innovation Center

In January 2010, the Innovation Center of Applied System Modeling was established in Kaiserslautern. The center is a joint initiative of the departments of Information Systems and Mathematics at the TU together with Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE), Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM) as well as the Terahertz Technology Lab of Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques (IPM).

This close cooperation strengthens existing local alliances – with the aim of speeding the development of innovative, high tech products. Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate support this further reinforcement of Kaiserslautern's profile as a research center.
