Technology Day

Technology Day is “hands-on science that can be experienced and touched”. It is designed for school children in grades 10 to 13.  First of all, Technology Day offers these young people the chance to attend lectures, thus allowing them to become acquainted with lectures as experienced by college students. And then there are the special workshops in which they actively work together on fascinating problems from the world of science.

These lectures and workshops are offered by the various departments, sub-departments, affiliated research institutes and other project levels of the university. The next Technology Day will be held in the Spring of 2013.

Lectures

The lectures usually last between half an hour and an hour and either offer information on studies and various professions or provide insight into the scientific work of the lecturers. When registering, you can express preferences for individual lectures (by weighting).

Workshops

All school children who register will be able to attend at least one workshop. There they will be able to try out something for themselves and be informed and supported in small groups.
