What is Countdown?

Countdown is your online companion from the day of acceptance to registering for your first examination.

We have learned from experience that the first stage of your studies is one of the most important. There is lot more to it than knowing when and where a class is meeting. Examinations, deadlines, official surveys, finding new friends, and the simple questions of daily life: Figuring all these various things out alone is much more difficult!

Countdown shows you step-by-step what is going on and where you can find contact and support. The rest is up to you: Check out Countdown!

Who can use Countdown?

You will receive an invitation from TU Kaiserslautern to sign up for Countdown. This notice will inform you about which group and time period is appropriate for your individual enrollment. The registration for Countdown is semi-mandatory, because some very important information for you is only available via Countdown.

Registration? - It´s easy!

Visit the portal's start page at www.uni-kl.de/countdownlogin. Under Registration, follow the instructions on how you can register.

After the activation, an e-mail will be sent to you and then you will be able to simply login: Let's get started!

Opinions on Countdown

Student

"Studies or parties, you want to keep up with the news? Stop by your RHRK email account and set up forwarding to your email address. At Countdown you will learn how this works.

Another tip: If you are in need of a bus or tools, for example when moving, you can borrow the needed hardware unbureaucratically and cheaply from the Students´ Asscociation."

"The internet portal Countdown is clear and very helpful at the beginning of your studies. Convince yourself! No matter if by telephone or in person - at the Studierenden ServiceCenter (SSC) you get friendly support. You also learn more about the SSC and other university facilities at Countdown."

"Try to get to know as many fellow students as possible. That way you will be communicated important information, will receive documents, can form learning groups and spend your free time together. Nobody can accomplish his studies on one's own!"
