State Tuition Assistance (BAföG)

BAföG (Federal Educational Assistance Act) is a government financial aid program that may be requested by students who have no other funding source available to cover the cost of living and study expenses.

As a rule, BAföG is granted to German students and under certain conditions, foreign students as well (e.g., EU citizens who are entitled to permanent residency).
