You can apply for admission to TU Kaiserslautern with skill level B1. However, that covers only about half of the German skills you will need to master before you begin your studies. Prior to the start of your degree program you must take the DSH exam and achieve a minimum rating of DSH-2.
What must I do to take the DSH exam at TU Kaiserslautern?
- Apply for enrollment in a degree program at TU Kaiserslautern.
- Prior to the written DSH exam, there is an oral placement test. The exact dates will be posted on the internet a few days in advance of the test.
- Depending on the evaluation of your placement test, there are three possible outcomes:
- 67% to 100% of the points: You can take the DSH exam
- 33% to 66% of the points: You cannot take the DSH exam, but you can enroll for the DSH course. You can register as a student at TU Kaiserslautern for this course.
