Night of Sciences

On Friday May 20, 2011, the second Kaiserslautern Science Night, which is organised by the Kaiserslautern city office together with Kaisernlautern’s colleges, universities and institutes - this year in the framework of the Kaiserslautern year of internationality 2011 - invites the public to an exciting expedition through the Kaiserslautern research landscape. The PRE Uni Park, with its institutions in Trippstadter Street, and the campus will open their doors to the public from 20:00 to 24:00 hours. Admission will be free.

Today, Kaiserslautern plays not only in the top German federal league of soccer, but also in the top German federal league of research. During the past few years, this city has developed into a high performance international centre for innovative technology products and services through its outstanding universities and research facilities. These scientific facilities give birth to new companies that open up new markets with their innovative product ideas and services, thus integrating the insights of science into the economy. In addition, the international reputation of Kaiserslautern as a good location for science has drawn many excellent university graduates to Kaiserslautern from all over the world so that the cultural landscape of Kaiserlautern is enriched by their very presence. For this reason, this year’s motto for Science Night is “Knowledge Creates Integration”.
