ISGS Christmas Party
Get to know what German Christmas is like!
What time: 05.30 p.m.
Where: Int. Club (Bldg. 12, R 168)
This will not be a religious celebration; we want to sit together, bake and eat Christmas cookies and explore some German Christmas traditions and who knows? Even Santa Claus might come…
One of our actions will be the so-called Secret Santa (German: “wichteln”). It is a Christmas ritual involving a group of people exchanging anonymous and small gifts. That means each participant should prepare a small wrapped present (i.e. some sweets, a candle, something from you home-country …, its worth should not exceed 5 Euro). At the beginning of the party all presents will be collected and afterwards distributed according to a special, anonymous system. Please note: Only if you hand in a present, you will receive one! Participation is voluntary.
We also plan to sing some international (and German) Christmas songs. Texts and melodies will be rehearsed with Ms. Greff during our workshop on Monday, December 10 at 6:30 p.m. in building 11-243.
We are looking forward to meeting you at the Christmas party!
