TU Kaiserslautern FIRST-ranked 11 times in the International Student Barometer 2016
The International Student Barometer (ISB) 2016 is a global benchmarking tool which ranks the best universities on the basis of the rating of their own students. Among 196 universities which were rated by 159,959 students worldwide TU KL is first-ranked in 11 categories of the whole student-life-cycle. University ranking by "Times Higher Education": TU Kaiserslautern is ranked among the top international 150 universities under 50 years old
The Times Higher Education 150 Under 50 Rankings (April 2016) is a ranking of the top 150 universities under 50 years old. It celebrates young universities that have made a great impact on the global stage in years rather than centuries and showcases the future rising university stars. TU Kaiserslautern achieved very good results, especially regarding performance indicators like teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.
University ranking by "Wirtschaftswoche": TU Kaiserslautern is ranked among the best german universities in 2015 & 2016.
In the two last University rankings by the business magazine "Wirtschaftswoche" TU Kaiserslautern was ranked among the best german universities: The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering reached the 5th rank. The Department of Mechanical & Process Engineering as well as the Department of Computer Sciences respectively were ranked on the 8th position. TU Kaiserslautern thereby confirms its excellent ranking position from 2014, when the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering was ranked the 5th position, Business Studies and Economics the 7th and Computer Science the 8th rank. 571 hiring managers of medium enterprises and large companies had been interviewed by "Wirtschaftswoche" for this survey. From the perspective of the managers the University of Kaiserslautern is one of the best in Germany. The University Ranking of "Wirtschaftswoche" puts the focus on practical relevance and shows where studying really worth it.
CHE University Ranking of the online newspaper "ZEIT ONLINE" (CHE Hochschulranking 2015/16)
Kaiserslautern University is presented in the "CHE Hochschulranking 2015/16", which gives extensive information about the university in general as well as the individual departments. The University received excellent marks in the subject Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics.

The Kaiserslautern University was among the Top 6 German universities to win the “Excellence in Teaching” competition (Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft, 2009)
The Kaiserslautern University was one of six German universities to win the competition "Excellence in Teaching" conducted by the "Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft" (Donor’s Association for the Promotion of Science and Humanities in Germany) and the "Kultusministerkonferenz" (Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs). It received prize money in the amount of 1 million euros for the support of projects and was guaranteed future funding.
