English & German as Languages of Science & Career

English is THE language of science, technology & research. Even though most students and researchers are quite experienced in this language, special requirements have to be met in order to use the English language in an academic and scientific context.

German is the second most commonly used scientific language that is spoken by more than 100 million people worldwide! In order to use German in science and research, lots of "rules" and styles have to be considered.

Your international career mainly depends on the languages you speak and the cultures you know.

The International School for Graduate Studies (ISGS) therefore has initiated the topics "English as a language of Science" and "German as a language of Science" in which short free-of-cost workshops on special academic or research issues are offered.
As the workshops are oriented towards practice, include practical training and are of a short duration, they are a perfect way of advancing in the English or German language.
