Rankings on the Kaiserslautern University
University ranking by "Wirtschaftswoche": TU Kaiserslautern three times in the top 10
In the last University ranking by the "Wirtschaftswoche"(released on April 08 2013) Kaiserslautern achieved some good marks. The department of Business Studies and Economics reaches the 4th rank, Computer science the 5th rank and Electrical and Computer Engineering the 10th rank. 523 hiring managers of medium enterprises and large companies had been interviewed by "Wirtschaftswoche" for this survey. From the perspectiv of the managers the University of Kaiserslautern is one of the best in Germany. The University Ranking of "Wirtschaftswoche" puts the focus on practical relevance and shows where studying really worth it.

Kaiserslautern University is presented in the "CHE Hochschulranking 2012/13", which gives extensive information about the university in general as well as the individual departments. The University received excellent marks in the subject Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics.

The Kaiserslautern University was among the Top 6 German universities to win the “Excellence in Teaching” competition (Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft, 2009)
The Kaiserslautern University was one of six German universities to win the competition "Excellence in Teaching" conducted by the "Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft" (Donor’s Association for the Promotion of Science and Humanities in Germany) and the "Kultusministerkonferenz" (Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs). It received prize money in the amount of 1 million euros for the support of projects and was guaranteed future funding.
