Workshop on Job Application Training in German

Be prepared for a job interview: German language and soft skills training
Basically a job interview is a kind of oral exam for which one has to be well prepared. In the best case the interview can be the key towards your dream job. In order to pass this exam, technical knowledge alone is not enough. You need to impress your interviewer with your competence, achievements, motivation and personality as well.
This workshop for international (post) doctorates and graduates is practical training for job-interviews.
You will learn:
- Acquiring German language skills and knowledge about peculiarities of a job-interview in Germany.
- Language preparation for typical situations and frequently asked questions.
- Improvement in soft skills.
Participants will have an excellent opportunity to develop a great strategy for applications with the help of exercises, role-plays, tips and tricks. In the future this strategy will help you to present yourself at your best.
You should prepare:
In order to make the best use of our time during the workshop, you are requested find a suitable job description and to prepare a short presentation (about 8 minutes) about your qualifications and motivations for this job.
Date: Saturday, January 5, 2013, 09:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Place: Building 36, Room 262 (ISGS branch office).
Language: German
Trainer: Mrs. Dr. Zornitza Kolarova: PhD in the field of "Nonverbal Communication”, TU Berlin. She is currently head of language courses and communication training.
Fees & registration: 3, - € per person to be paid in the ISGS, Mrs. Döring (Bldg. 57, Room 278).
Deadline: Registration closes on December 21, 2012. Participation costs have to be paid in person until December 21, 2012 to ISGS (Bldg. 57, Room 278). [If you don’t have the possibility to register and pay the fee by this date, please contact doktoranden[at]isgs.uni-kl.de.]
