Advanced Material Engineering (AME) aims to undertake innovative research relevant to high-tech industries such as automotive and aerospace as well as biotech and medical technology. Using its network of senior academics and researchers at the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and associated institutes, cross-cutting themes are brought together for cooperative research in the fields of materials science, mechanical and process engineering, physics and computer science. Projects aim to contribute to safe and effective use of materials and processes for improved public health and safety, as well as improved outcomes in resource use and emission reduction. AME has four key research areas linked by experimentation, modeling and simulation.
