December 2012: ERMA InnoStud in Unispectrum

Innovative, Interdisciplinary and Practical: TU Students get involved in ERMA! Within the joint project ERMA – Energy and Recourse Efficient Mobile Working Machines funded by the “Stiftung Rheinland-Pfalz für Innovation“ the involved institutes strike out in a new direction and promote a close coupling between research and teaching. Objective of the project is the research and development of energy efficient concepts and technologies for mobile working machines. Major focus will be put on the powertrain, energy management, friction management and life cycle management. Students work actively as well! They become in their individually chosen specialization work and final projects an intensive access to research thematic and preform a valuable contribution to the project. November 2012: ERMA at PTC|Live

PTC|Live is one of a kind international series of events organized by PTC and its technology and distribution partners. The German event takes place this year in November again in Stuttgart. On two days you can experience trainings and networking opportunities within the framework of which one can exchange ideas with product and PLM experts and learn about the newest best practices in industry and science. With its multilayered and diverse program of client and expert presentations as well as user trainings PTC|Live has established itself as a must for PTC clients and PLM experts. The project ERMA is presented within a technical talk addressing proven approaches and experience. [more]


October 2012: Second Consortia Meeting

On Wednesday, the 17th of October 2012 the project partners meet at the Chair for Design Engineering (KIMA) in the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau for second common working session in this year. On the schedule are discussion of the current status of the project as well as an outlook on upcoming research activities within the joint project ERMA. [more]


October 2012: Aachen Colloquium

The Aachen Colloquium "Automobile and Engine Technology" has become the largest automotive and engine technology congress in Europe. The congress provided a wide range of technical presentations addressing current challenges of the vehicle and powertrain industry. Program-related test vehicles, prototypes and aggregates from participating companies and institutions have been presented on the ika test track. The first partial results from the project ERMA were presented in the talk “Future mobile excavator – efficiency improvement through electrification” held by Sebastian Pick. [more]

September 2012: Specialist Conference of Construction Machinery Technology

Information and energy systems in construction and mining machinery have a high update degree. They provide constantly new possibilities and requirements we deal with in theory and practice every day. The 5th Specialist Conference of Construction Machinery Technology from 20th until 21st of September 2012 in Dresden is dedicated to this process and related to the will to encourage an interesting and up-to-date discourse. The first partial results of the project ERMA will be presented within a talk at the conference. [more]

September 2012: ERMA at the Eco-Balance Workshop

The eight Eco-Balance Workshop of the network “Lifecycle Inventory Data” takes place this year from the 4th until the 6th of September in Stuttgart. A close networking between science and industry in the area of eco-balancing is not only this year's topic of the Eco-Balance Workshop, but an everyday practice of the initiators over a decades back. The Project ERMA is thereby introduced within a short presentation. [more]


July 2012: Third Working Session in 2012

On Tuesday, the 31st of July 2012, the project partners are meeting for a third common working session within the joint project "ERMA" – Energy and Recourse Efficient Mobile Working Machines. As central topics, the current state of the project will be presented and the partial results of the interdisciplinary work discussed. [more]


July 2012: ERMA-InnoStod successfully started

Innovative, Interdisciplinary and Practical: On Thursday, the 19th of July 2012 starts “ERMA-InnoStud” with ten interested students participating. Within the joint project ERMA – Energy and Recourse Efficient Mobile Working Machines the involved institutes strike out in a new direction and promote a close coupling between research and teaching. July 2012: Fuel Efficiency Test with Trial Vehicle

On Friday, the 6th of July 2012, the project partners, over the invitation of Volvo Construction Equipment, will visit the factory in Konz, Germany. On the schedule are fuel consumption tests with a trial vehicle. The extensive series of measurements will provide knowledge over the performance of the mobile working machine. [more]


June 2012: Second Working Session in 2012

On Tuesday, the 20th of June 2012, the project partners met for the second common working session within the joint project “ERMA“ - Energy and resource efficient mobile working machines. The central points of the meeting were presentation the current state of the project and further discussion of the first preliminary results of the interdisciplinary work. [more]


March 2012: First Consortia Meeting in 2012

On Tuesday, the 20th of March 2012 the project partners met at the Chair for Design Engineering (KIMA) in the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau for a first common working session in this year. March 2012: ERMA Conference Input at CVT 2012

Within the second Commercial Vehicle Technology Symposium at the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau from 13th until 16th of March 2012 you can encounter diverse program and interesting discussion partners. Organizer is the Commercial Vehicle Alliance (CVA), the parent organization above the Institutes Center for Commercial Vehicle Technology (ZNT) of RPTU, Innovation Cluster Digital Commercial Vehicle Technology (DNT) of the Fraunhofer-Institute IESE and  ITWM, Commercial Vehicle Cluster South-West (CVC). The project ERMA will be presented as part ofthe conference. [more]

The project ERMA... to introduce itself: The project “Energy and resource efficient mobile working machines” (ERMA) is a joint  project, which is performed by the research group Product Development within the ZNT. You are also benefiting from the project funded by the Stiftung Rheinland-Pfalz für Innovation, e.g. through a better utilisation of the provided energy, through innovative system solutions, through the protection of environment and climate, through modern, up-to-date products in the commercial vehicle branch, through Product Lifecycle Management based data and process management for a comprehensive development of energy and resource efficient products. [more]
