December 2013: Working Session with Project Partner

On Thursday, the 12th of December 2013, the working groups KIMA and MEC will meet together for a working session with the project partner Volvo CE. On Friday, the 15th of November 2013 the project partners meet at the Chair for Design Engineering (KIMA) in the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau for second common working session in this year. September 2013: ERMA in the ZWF

Increasing energy prices, tightening of resources and climate change arr the reasons why energy and resource efficieny of new cars are in focus at new development in the automobile industry. This development is also present in the construction machinery industry. In addition to fuel efficiency work of the machine eco efficiency should be considered through the whole lifecycle. To predicate the efficiency of a product early in its development phase, simulation programs are increasingly in use. [more]


August 2013: ERMA in Sweden

At invitation of the company Volvo the project partners present the joint project „ERMA – energy- and resource-efficient mobile working machines“ and present first insights of the project from the 19th of August 2013 to the 21th of August 2013 at Volvo Group Trucks Technology in Goteborg, Sweden. July 2013: tHIS - Design for Construction Machines

Different as Art Design has to defer to people, has to cast functions in mould. Design helps to facilitate the access of the user on technique, to save energy and to save the environment – this applies also to construction machines. [more]

July 2013: ERMA in ATZ offhighway

Electrification offers big potentials at mobile machines, as well as reducing energy consumption, CO2 emissions and pollutant emissions when in operation. In the course of a holistic view energy input to granting the fuel respectively electric energy and at this emerging CO2 emissions have to be considered. [more]

June 2013: ERMA in the CVC News

Goal of the joint project which is supported by the foundation "Rheinland-Pfalz für Innovation" is development of energy-efficient concepts and technologies for mobile machines on the example of a mobile excavator. In the foreground are drive, energy management, friction and Life Cycle Management. Actually the project is in an advanced phase: Methods to estimate power losses are developed, test series on the measure-excavator are finished and first results of the analysis are fixed. In this article we would like to give an example for acquired perceptions and cooperation intra-research team. [more]


April 2013: ERMA at ProSTEP iViP Symposium

The ProSTEP iViP Symposium is the leading independent PLM conference. 500 experts and decision-makers from industry and research are expected to come together for this two-day conference between April 16 and 17 2013 in the German Pavilion in Hannover. Leading IT companies will showcase their innovative products and services, use the occasion for networking with specialists from other industry sectors and extensively discuss the challenges in the IT sector. In the scientific track of the international symposium insights from the joint project ERMA are presented and discussed. [more]


March 2013: Second Working Sesssion 2013

On Wednesday, the 27th of March the project partners meet for second working session in 2013. The current state of the project and an outlook on the following year are on topic. Central point is also the planning of first Industry Workshop in the summer to accompany the project. [more]


March 2013: ERMA at ATK 2013

The 15th Drive Train Conference (ATK) will take place on the 19th and 20th March 2013 at the Eurogress in Aachen. The ATK has been taking place every two years since 1987. The ATK is an interdisciplinary platform to foster communication and idea exchange between developers, researchers and users in the field of drive technology. In addition, the ATK supports the exchange between industry and university. The ATK offers the possibility to present new developments and innovations on component and system level relevant for drive technology. First partial results of the joint project ERMA are also showcased within a presentation. [more]


March 2013: ERMA at CIRP Design Konferenz

Under the theme of "Smart Product Engineering" the 23rd International CIRP Design Conference takes place on the 11th until the 13th of March at the Ruhr University of Bochum. The conference offers a technical forum for researchers, practitioners and political decision makers with opportunity to share ideas and research results in international community and to discuss own experience and questions. The joint project ERMA is presented in a short talk within the conference. [more]

February 2013: Symposium Hybrid Drive Technolgy

On the 20th of February 2013 the 4th Symposium on “Hybrid Drive for Mobile Working Machines” takes place in Karlsruhe. The symposium is is organized by the Chair for Mobile Working Machines (Mobima) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and German Association of Machine and Plant Builders (VDMA) and is established as a platform for questions in the area of hybrid drive technologies for all mobile working machines in industry and science. The partial results of the joint project ERMA are also presented in a technical talk. [more]

 


January 2013: First Working Session in 2013

On Wednesday, the 16th of January the project partners meet for first working session in the new year 2013. Main topic on the agenda is the second status report in the joint project “ERMA” - Energy and Resource Efficient Mobile Working Machines.
