DIVERSITY WORKING GROUP
Since November 2017, interested parties as well as actors who deal with diversity issues at TUK have been meeting. On November 14, 2019, the Diversity Network was renamed the "Diversity Working Group". The background: a core team now meets in the working group to plan diversity activities. Guests or individuals who support specific planning efforts are welcome to join.
TASKS OF THE WORKING GROUP
- To promote respect for differences and appreciation of the added value that diversity brings,
- to inform and discuss issues,
- to organize specific events and (awarness) workshops and
- to participate in networks in Rhineland-Palatinate.

A first project in this framework was the publication of a brochure featuring different people at the university. The brochure is available since January 2020 and can be ordered at gleichstellung-vielfalt-familie(at)uni-kl.de
Representatives* of Christian, Jewish and Muslim university associations signed an interreligious position paper entitled "Religion at the University" on November 7 in Frankfurt/Main. The religious university groups (top representatives of the Association of Protestant Student Congregations in Germany, the Student Mission in Germany, the Catholic Forum Hochschule & Kirche, the Jewish Student Union Germany and the Council of Muslim Students & Academics) are committed to human rights, gender equality, religious diversity and religious freedom, among other issues.
