The Erasmus+ Teaching Exchange grant includes travel and accommodation costs, which are calculated by the EU Commission/National Agency DAAD as unit costs.

Travel Costs

The travel costs are granted depending on the calculated distance to the host city. The distance is calculated using the Distance Calculator of the EU Commission. This distance is used as the basis for the calculation of round trip costs to the host city.

Distance Calculator

The amount of funding is dependent on the distance as well as the current project year. For more information about this please contact the RefIntA.

Accommodation Costs

Accommodation costs are calculated based on the number of days spent abroad. A description of the work to be done during the exchange should be outlined in the Mobility Agreement. A confirmation of the exact beginning and end of the teaching exchange must be submitted to the RefIntA after the exchange has taken place.

Special Funding

Participants with disabilities as well as single parents travelling with child(ren) are eligible for special funding/grants in addition to the regular funding. If this applies to you, please contact the RefIntA prior to your exchange.

Important Information about Funding

The travel and accommodation costs are individually calculated based on several factors, including host country, distance to host city, project year, and length of stay. The funding is paid out as a one-time payment before the exchange begins and is independent of actual incurred costs during the stay. To find out more about the funding of your planned teaching exchange, please contact the RefIntA.
