School Management (Master of Science)

Contents

Due to social and political changes, the challenges associated with running schools are growing. As such, head teachers are having to take on new and sometimes unfamiliar duties. These involve changed roles and responsibilities, moving away from purely teaching and school administration to become organization managers and active initiators of school development processes with extensive new skills.

The DISC has been offering this course since 2000, providing students with scientifically-based further training to support them in their professional and qualified running of schools. This enables them to develop, implement, monitor and continually optimize school development processes in the areas of organizational development, personnel development and lesson development, as well as establish a comprehensive system of quality management. The 'School Management' course concludes with the academic grade 'Master of Arts' (MA).
