Research Colloquium of the university priority area "Region and City"
„One of the lessons I have learned in the different stages of my career is that science is not done alone. It is through talking with others and sharing that progress is made.“ - Carol W. Greider, Nobel Prize winner
The research colloquium is intended to further promote and expand the scientific exchange between the members of the university priority area "Region and City". Once a month, two current research projects are presented and subsequently discussed. The event is primarily aimed at the members of "Region and City", other disciplines mainly in spatial and environmental planning, their professors, PostDocs and PhD students, project staff and visiting scientists.
Once a month during the lecture period, the colloquia take place as presentation meetings. This means that in an informal setting, for a maximum of one hour, two current research projects are presented for 15 minutes each and then discussed. In the tradition of American brown-bag lunches, the colloquium takes place during the lunch break and provides an opportunity to eat lunch.
If you are part of the university priority area Region and City as well and would like to present a project from your research topics (currently running research projects or research projects completed within the last 3 years), please contact: Jakob Schackmar, Department IPS: jakob.schackmar(at)ru.uni-kl.de
