Admission and enrolment (matriculation) are the next steps on the way to your studies at TUK. Please note the differences between:

Admission and enrolment

In open-enrolment degree programmes, you will receive a place if you fulfil the requirements and have applied in due form and time. You will receive a letter of admission after your application. If any documents are still missing, you will be informed accordingly.

Once you have received the notification of admission, you will be enrolled after payment of the social contribution fee. Personal appearance is not necessary for enrolment.

Upon enrolment, you will receive the student chip card as student identity card. Information about starting your studies can be found on the pages of the  StudentServiceCenter (SSC).

In the case of limited-enrolment degree programmes (= with restricted admission), the number of places is limited. If it turns out that the specified number of study places in a degree programme is sufficient for the applications received, all applicants will receive a study place for the degree programme in question.

If, however, more applicants have registered to study in a semester than there are places available, the places will be allocated in accordance with the procedure laid down in the regulations on the allocation of places of studyr regulations on the allocation of places of study.

Special quotas for hardship cases, foreign applicants, applicants for a second degree and applicants with special university entrance qualifications may have to be taken into account in advance.

In the event of admission, you will receive a notification of admission and can register by paying the social contribution fee in due time. Personal appearance is not necessary for enrolment.

Upon enrolment, you will receive the student chip card as student identity card. Information about starting your studies can be found on the pages of the  StudentServiceCenter (SSC).

If you meet the requirements for a study place and have applied in due form and time, you will be admitted to the university.

To enrol, you must pay the social security contribution fee in due time. In addition, to enrol in an on-campus degree programme, you have to appear in person and present your original certificates.

If you are unable to arrive in Germany in time for enrolment, it is possible to extend your admission for the following semester. To do so, please apply for an extension of your admission by Mail  or post.

Upon enrolment, you will receive the student chip card as student identity card. Information about starting your studies can be found on the pages of the  StudentServiceCenter (SSC).

Applicants who are minors need the consent of their parents  to apply and enrol.
