KIS Office is a kind of study planner for the students of TUK and provides the following possibilities:
- Put timetables together online
- Notification of relocation of events
- Registration for events and language courses (VKB)
- Search function: Events, persons, organisational units at TUK
- Date management/calendar
- E-mail management
- Trip planner and more
The password for KIS Office is the initial password that you receive together with your student chip card. You can also use this password to set up your student account. If you have any problems with your password afterwards, please contact the Service Point or the RHRK hotline.
• QIS self-service function
Depending on the degree programme, you can use the following features in the QIS self-service function:
- Print study certificates
- Change address
- Change password
- Overview of examinations you have registered for
- Registration for and de-registration from examinations
- Overview of grades

You will receive the initial password for the QIS self-service function together with your student chip card. You have to change this password upon your first login. If you have lost or forgotten your password, you can request a new password from the SSC. Please bring your student chip card with you.
• RHRK - Regional University Computer Centre Kaiserslautern
The Computer Centre's (RHRK) task is to provide modern information and communication technologies. Students receive their own account via the computer centre in order to gain access to the services of the computer centre. Here is an overview of the most important services:
- Account allocation
- Access to e-mail account
- Internet Services
- On-campus workstations (+terminal pool)
- Copy, print, scan
- WiFi on campus
- VPN client - access TUK's network from home
- Service Point and Hotline
- Software download
You will receive the initial password for the RHRK account together with your student chip card. If you have any problems with your password afterwards, please contact the Service Point or the RHRK hotline.
• UB – University library
You will receive an account with the University Library upon registration. You can log in to get an overview of your borrowed books and media and to renew them if necessary.
- Account login
The University Library provides free access to e-journals and e-books. From home, however, you need the VPN Client to log in to the TUK's network.
• Online Bridge Course Mathematics
There is the possibility to take part in an online bridge course mathematics to consolidate your mathematics knowledge before your studies.
• Babysitter platform
The Babysitter platform is a joint project of TUK and the University of Applied Science. You can register here if you are looking for a babysitter or would like to work as a babysitter.
