Distance study (DISC)

The Distance and Independent Studies Center (DISC) of TUK is one of the leading institutes providing postgraduate distance education programmes in Germany. Our internationally recognised Master's programmes and university certificate programmes enable you to study part-time while working, irrespective of time and place.

Early Admission

Early admission to a degree programme is aimed at prospective students who are looking for an early orientation and would like to gain an initial insight into the respective subject of study.


TUKzero is an orientation programme at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TUK). For one semester you will discover the opportunities and requirements of a degree programme, get to know the campus and study-life and can then decide which degree programme suits you best.

Guest student

Lectures, seminars and exercises within the range of courses offered by the departments are also open to guests.


All doctoral candidates who have already been accepted have to formally register as a PhD student at TUK. Please click here to register.
In addition, all PhD students may enrol at the beginning of a semester.
