With the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development , the world community expresses its conviction that global challenges can only be solved together. Universities in particular have committed themselves internationally to the model of sustainable development due to their role as role models for society. The TU Kaiserslautern (TUK) strives to act as a beacon for the potential of linking the classical subjects of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT subjects) with an understanding of sustainability. This aims to ensure that technical universities play a new role in society as drivers of sustainable innovation. As a university in the Pfälzerwald-Nordvogesen biosphere reserve, the Technical University of Kaiserslautern has an extraordinary sense of responsibility for the preservation of the region's natural and cultural heritage.
