A research project on “Automated and Connected Driving” funded by BMVI

  • Extending the conventional sensor set (front radar, short range radar, lidars, and a multifunctional camera setup), by a bi-frequency range ground penetrating radar (GPR),
  • Detect the damage spots in the road substructure to provide a predictive maintenance and introduce cloud-based service,
  • Utilize the low frequency range to mark deep infrastructure as fingerprints for robust and high precision localization.
