Training School (3.2)

Kaiserslautern | July 2021

The 6th RE-City Training School was organised virtually by the consortium partner RPTU and was about Leadership and Entrepreneurship. The first session was a practical training on hand drawn visual presentation techniques and sketchnotes given by chartflipper.de.

Prof. Gordon Müller-Seitz talked to the PhDs about the ingredients of getting into "the flow" – How you achieve the balance between challenge and enjoyment in work and life which is often a headache for PhD career.

As part of the entrepreneurship training, RE-CITY ESRs attended an inspiring talk about the personal journey of starting a business. It means lots of hard work, spirit, courage, perseverance and taking risks. In this cause, Helen Mulligan (Cambridge Architectural Research), Kai Böhme (Spatial Foresight) and Andreas Mäck (FRESH Völklingen) shared their passion and energy with the PhDs.

The researchers pitched a series of business models led by @gruendungkl. Also, the Entrepreneurship training included a Team building exercise.
