B13  Spin+Spin-orbit torque: Spin dynamics and spin-orbit torques in magnetic hybrids

Within this project, we experimentally explore coupled spin dynamics and spin-orbit torques (SOTs) in thin film heterostructures containing multiple magnetically ordered layers. The symmetry breaking by the magnetic order will be used to generate additional SOT symmetries. The spin-dynamical interactions in these heterostructures can furthermore give rise to complex coupled antiferromagnetic / ferromagnetic magnetization dynamics. We will exploit such hybrid excitations and magnetic SOTs for the electrical control of spin waves in magnonic devices.
