SFB/TRR 173 Spin+X

The Collaborative Research Center SFB/TRR 173 "Spin in its collective environment" at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz has been investigating various aspects of spin phenomena since January 2016.

Spin+X brings together research groups from the fields of physics, chemistry and engineering sciences. The goal of this interdisciplinary collaboration is a comprehensive research field: this ranges from the theoretical understanding of the fundamentals of spin phenomena to the development of to the development of advanced technological applications such as spintronic structures or magnetic sensors. To make the cooperation between the different approaches of the participating research groups as effective as possible, so-called as effectively as possible, so-called "supply chains" have been established. These "supply chains" connect different research projects dealing with the same topic or phenomenon.
