General criteria for the use of the offers of the TU-Nachwuchsring by young scientists of the RPTU

The offers of the TU-Nachwuchsring are addressed to young scientists of the RPTU who fulfill the general criteria of a young scientist of the TU-Nachwuchsring and who can be assigned either to the group of doctoral candidates or to the group of those who have completed their doctorate. In addition, further specifications apply in the individual funding lines, which can be found in the respective calls for proposals. You can find more information about the criteria here.

If you are unsure to what extent these criteria apply to your own career path or whether you are eligible to apply for a certain funding line, we will be happy to advise you!

Q&A about membership

All PhD students who are officially registered as PhD students at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern are automatically members of the TU-Nachwuchsring. A further registration at the TU-Nachwuchsring is not necessary!

Please note that an acceptance as a doctoral candidate in the department is not equivalent to the registration as a doctoral candidate and that the registration is obligatory for all accepted doctoral candidates of the RPTU according to § 5 of the Hochschulstatistikgesetz (University Statistics Act) (completely independent of a membership in the TU-Nachwuchsring)! If you have already been accepted as a doctoral student at your department and have not yet registered, please register at the Student Service Center as soon as possible! You can find more information and the registration form here.

If you meet the general criteria of the TU-Nachwuchsring for young scientists with a doctorate and are researching or working at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern, you are cordially invited to register informally and free of charge as an individual member. The easiest way to do this is to fill out this application form or send an e-mail to info(at)nachwuchsring.uni-kl.de. If you decide to register by e-mail, please send us all information that is also requested in the application form.

The further education offers of the TU-Nachwuchsring can be used by every young scientist of the RPTU who fulfills our general criteria of a young scientist.

However, the financial funding lines (e.g. research funding, mobility funding, etc.) can currently only be used by members.

At the moment, membership in the TU-Nachwuchsring is unfortunately not yet possible for young scientists of the RPTU in Landau.

Regardless of your membership status, however, you can participate in the continuing education offerings and events of the TU-Nachwuchsring.

However, you are not yet eligible to apply for the financial support lines of the Nachwuchsring - here we would like to refer you to the support offers of the ZGaPL (Zentrum für Graduiertenförderung und akademische Personalentwicklung Landau), whose funding lines are exclusively aimed at the (young) scientists of the RPTU in Landau.
