Arriving: You will arrive by aircraft on the airport Frankfurt/Main. We recommand to use the train (ICE) from Frankfurt Fernbahnhof to Mannheim HBF (main station, durance ca. 30 minutes). There you change the train and take either the train "S1/S2" (ca. 60 minutes) or the train "RE 1" (ca. 45 minutes) to Kaiserslautern HBF.

Mobility during the annual meeting: There will be a shuttle-service from the three recommended hotels to the university and back on Thursday and Friday.

Electricity: 230 Volt, 50 Hertz, sockets of type F (CEE 7/3). You might need an adapter. For details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schuko
 
Internet: There will be the "Eduroam" WiFi network of the university and another special access guest WiFi at FBK. Further information will be provided at the registration desk.

Mobility at Kaiserslautern: You can use several buses (line 115 or 116 to the university) or taxi. Private transports like "Uber" don't exist. Here you find a map of the bus network of Kaiserslautern.

Weather: It will probably be cloudy and rainy with temperatures between 0 and 10°C. An umbrella might be useful.

Working place: If you want to work in a quiet room, you can use room 57-225, which is near the Rotunde.
